We protect freedom by caging it
Rather than watch it writhe free
We are collectors of teeth
This is our gold menagerie
We dream of a better future for our children
By sleeping on the present day
Shrug off collective responsibility
Promise tomorrow, practice a crude dentistry
We place blame on the individual
Pull the rotten tooth
Whiten the multicultural
Straighten the aloof
We leave our homes and head to work
On a structure that can’t shelter people
Feed them nor treat them with dignity
Sort them by labels, hollow out the cavity
We step on humanity as if it were a red carpet
Cleansed by the vacuum of space
Outshine the stars with temples
That polish our spirits and rinse fear away
We make sacrifices of tear and blood
Effigies to replicate a fully formed person
Relinquish creativity to the automatons
Sit in the backseat and protest God
We sit down with our children
Make them feel mad for questioning it
Tell them to get a glob
It is time to throw up spitfire
The system can’t be beat
You need money to eat
I dare you to sleep a night on the street
We will mix your bones into the concrete
When you awaken
We practice sustainability
We kill ourselves slowly
We commit sustainable suicide
We reject school
We reject work
We are rejects
We are people
We are tired
We are hungry
We want to learn
We want to play
In an age of entitlement,

One day he slid out from his shackles
See this body grow lean
When you stop eating the energy you need
They took a vow to be
Ascetic in all ways that feed
The spirit so they could grow like the tree
To follow the lower lessons of gravity
Not everything falls freely
The lowest fruit is often plucked
By an arm stretching upwards
So they took a a bow to free
The fruit from the tree
To scatters it’s seed
And love it unconditionally

As thorns soften my steps
And with the growls of beasts as my benefactors
Let their seep through my mortal sutures
An effluent potion to shake and seizure
A reason to stir the balance of wild
And tame the lion through the flames
So desire matches the written
Let there be love worth living
As the stars gather around
and forge the means for me to pry open the coffin
Allow me to whisper in prayer
For the strength and endurance
To overcome my fleshy perish
With a love sealed by dying
