Disjoined wooden promises, drift-wood divorced and
wed to the sinuous currents, Divers who vow to resurface
In wet-suits soaked in Sun,
Hear a rippled chorus ring from angels with tide-ripped wings
Sung cackling, Sprung from leaking caulking, Sunken Lakes of Sun-Kin laughing at
The Atlantic metamorphosis of Atlantis; the Sin-king of the Sun

The sky opens wide, birds peck at the eye
The tides lie drown and life dies
The warmth of the earth crusts over the eye until it lacks light
and the roots demand sight
A mom can smell her cubs and know if they’re alright
And when your child dies, you’ll know it’s ripe
Vein-streaked dirt flowers new birth
Severed roots flow and slither~ ~ ~
Constricting splintered realities
Of all that which continues to grow when I leave
It alone, while I’m all alone
Stretching my toes through the sand
And parting my sun-kissed hands

surrounded on four sides by walls concrete
rooted to earth with a view of sky ceiling
the caged meat
you punctured an opening in the wall
punched through the bricks weighing down my feet
beam of light casting shadows you leave
promising warmth not received
they cut down the last tree
and the leaf that fell through my door
did not rescue but revived memories
of all the colors outside i can no longer see
when you open the door im not free
i can no longer blow in the wind of the air you breathe without me
it is your company i need
to comfort my heavy breathing heaving hurt heart
sorry bumble bee
always working to feed the queen
the flowers are wiped clean as chalk
but dirty roots can still talk
dirty boots never cease to walk over and crease their stalks
it isnt easy to erase
hurt hearts
